New music: "Strawberries" & "Screens" by The Ediacaran

With Strawberries I'm happy to introduce you to the second song from my new collaboration project The Ediacaran which was released today. The project thrives on a constantly changing collaboration of musicians and artists, who contribute to the overall work independently of each other - instrumental, vocal and lyrical - to create a homogenous but multifaceted sound. The first single, Screens, was released in April and reflected on how we deal with social media, sensory overload and constant accessibility.
Strawberries sounds like summer, but is much more than that - it is a love letter to the values of freedom and democracy that have long been taken for granted and suddenly seem increasingly fragile. Rather than being a song of melancholy, it is more an appreciation of what we have and must preserve in times of a shift to the right.
For this song, the project The Ediacaran includes guitarist and co-writer Jacob Nellessen, drummer Sebastian Lindecke and bassist Simbiat Ebhohon. I produced the song, did the vocals and played the piano. It contains a sample of Strawberry Fields, a song I made in 2023 with Vino Grande, Díbora Matos & LUUN. The accompanying music video was directed by Claudia Herrán.
I hope you enjoy the song! And who knows, perhaps it will even make it into your personal summer playlists!
