New song "Chroma" is here
The sound of “Chroma” ties in with the acoustic intimacy of Nick Drake, Jack Johnson, and Kings of Convenience, while finding its own space somewhere between singer-songwriter transparency and jazzy coloring.
Hey everyone,
I’m excited to share the last single for the year: Chroma.
The track leans into the acoustic intimacy of artists like Nick Drake, Jack Johnson and Kings of Convenience, while still finding its own space somewhere between singer-songwriter clarity and gentle jazzy colors. It’s a calm, detailed indie-folk song about an inner turning point, marking a new sound and hopefully offers a bit of space for you to breathe, too.
For those of you who are new here: The Ediacaran is an Indie Folk / Alt-R&B project built on the collaboration between myself (production, vocals) and Mr.Mahous (guitar). Inspired by artists such as Jack Johnson, Bon Iver, Vampire Weekend and John Mayer, the project is all about harmony in diversity - just like the prehistoric era it’s named after. Most songs come together like a slow-motion jam session: one idea passed from musician to musician, each adding their own creativity until something unpredictable and beautiful forms.
For Chroma, we were lucky to team up with Ramiro Rosa on drums, Mauro Battisti on double bass and Lia J as backing vocalist.
Our debut EP Contemplations was released in July 2025, leading up to the first full album in summer 2026.
Happy to hear your thoughts on the new song! Thanks for listening and being part of this journey.
